Back from Arizona!

Back from Arizona!

I just got back last night from Phoenix, Arizona and we had a great time. If anyone is looking for a for a long weekend, this is a great place to go. There were so many great restaurants, we ralxed by the pool, went shopping, went to the Grand Canyon, went tubing down a river.... we had a great time!

Hey Merf...I just FMd you back! I was there in 2001 and LOVED it there! In fact, I wanted to move out there and then I met my FH! My parents are considering a move out there after they retire. Very relaxing, totally different way of life. Any pics?

I was just in AZ this weekend too!! what a coincidence...

it was so hot though...but you can't beat playing golf for $10...even if it is 100 degrees!!

Glad you had a good time. FH's aunt lives in Scottsdale and i'd love to take a trip there to visit

my MIL has a ranch in a town called Wickenburg (NW of Phoenix)...so we stayed there...

really all we did was play golf...visit family...and eat in Scottsdale...

but I have seen pretty much all of Phoenix and Arizona...we are there very often...where did you stay?

what did you think of the grand canyon...how long did you stay? did you know the average amount of time at the grand canyon is 11 mins!!!

I miss AZ...took my mom there in 2001 as well. We had such a great time!

Hoping to get back out to the Southwest this fall with DF...guess he'll be DH then (yikes!)

this is in MIL's town...it has the 4th best golf course in AZ...and its beautiful...

We stayed at the Hilton in Squaw Peak. We had a 2 floor casita! It was 2 couples and it was great! We ate at the best restaurant in Scottsdale called the Bamboo Club!

We were at the Grand Canyon for about 2 hours. But on the way we stopped at this like Fred Flintston village place which was fun too!!

Heather...why not take a visit?

you'd be surprised how affordable the housing is...and the city and area is really just booming...

for me...it gets a little hot...but its not NY hot...as in little humidity...

I know in the back of my head...there is a possibility that we will end up there...since MIL has land waiting for us to build a house on...maybe retirement
