Back from Chicago Wedding - UPDATED WITH PICS

WOW is all I can say....

They really do things DIFFERENT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Instead of 'photojournalistic' photographers....get this...(i'm still not over this). The photographer sets up basically a studio in the corner of the venue - backdrop, flashes, chair....to take pictures of everyone...so it's all very posey posey... UGH...it was so weird!!!!!

Other weird things i'll think of and post about - but it was just sooooooooooo strange to me....and my friend told me that every wedding she's ever been to has been like that!!!!!

Um - yeah - we're back...

ETA - i took some of my own photojournalistic pics & will post them soon...

Refresher - this was my friends' 5th wedding...

have you shelled out for each? at what point do you just get to go for free?

First hubby - didn't know her
Second - she married in Vegas
Third - she ditched second for & I HATED him...knew he'd cheat on her
Fourth - she went back to 2nd - realized her mistake - married him again - sent gift for this one.
Fifth - I took about 500 pics - so i'll make a few albums for her out of them & that'll be her gift. I'll make her a bunch of photo related things. We spent about $500 to get there....so I think that's good!!!

Everyone at the wedding was funny - you DROVE FROM NJ for this?!?!?!?!?! I just kept saying - yes - that's what friends do....

I've been to a few out there and they def. do things different. The whole pic thing and they have buffet style, get your own food. I cant wait for relatives to come here and see my wedding. They are going to think that everything is decadent and over the top. I LOVE IT!!

Yes - the food was family style...but i liked that part. They will DEFINITELY think our wedding is INSANE compared to what they do...

DEFINITELY!!!!! And not even the Awesome 80's prom - which would rule!!

I was in the bridal party - so she told me, but FH didn't know & as soon as I got there he came up to me and asked me what in hell was going on...

I'm sure i'll remember more stuff tomorrow - once i've had a chance to sleep!!!!

Wow five times.?? I hope this one lasts because you took a looottt of pics. That is so strange takin pics like that.

That is a bit strange but a good idea non the less. Pictures off all your guest is cool

However, I would have my photographer do it during the wedding with out a backdrop, candid shots mostly

i've been to weddings in VA and they definitely do things differently down there too!! Anywhere outside NY/NJ/CT are completely different.

Dave & I kept saying we hope they are together long enough for me to get all the pics worked on!! I'll post some non-edited ones...i'll start uploading now..

The posey posey is old skool...lol FILS wedding album is like that. it doesnt look bad- just not modern.
