Back from my cruise

Back from my cruise

Well, DH and I flew out of JFK last friday night, we land at 11, and guess what? no luggage...it was left at JFK. We stayed till 3 in the morning at airport waiting for info. they told us they were putting luggage on a flight coming in at 9:30 saturday morning, we had to be on the ship by three. so flight was delayed. finally came in at 10:30 and guess what, no luggage..... I cried like I have never cried before. I was in jeans, a sweater and uggs. DH had on jeansm thermal shirt, and boots. this is all we had, we had 2 hours to go shopping for new clothes. everything from bras, to sneakers, flipflops, underwear socks toiletries. everything. we were in the hole before we evern got on the ship. I got my suitcase on day 5, DH got his suitcase just now at the airport. Needless to say we drank a lot and had a great time with our friends, but we couldn't do formal night, and went to dinner with junk clothes on. we spent so much over budget. delta is giving us 250.00 we spent more than that at sports authority alone. we have an address I am going to write to I will post pics later

That stinks! Losing luggage is always a fear of mine while traveling. I would be writing quite a long letter if I were you.

They sould have to pay for your entire trip! Raise he!! and I would state how much it had ruined the vacation you saved so hard for and looked forward to. That is so unreal!

I am so sorry you had to go through that! I understand what you went through because i did too a couple of years ago with my mom and dad coming home from florida, they forgot to put our luggage on the flight and we didn't get it back until 3 days later.

Me too! I always try to carry it on and I know this isn't always possible. It sucks. So sorry for you! They BETTER compensate you properly!

I agree!! THat's awful and I'm so sorry that happened to you guys. I'm glad you still had fun with your friends - but definitely raise hell!
