So, went to the Jersey Shore Saturday and was supposed to stay a week, but I came home today. We were in this incredible house on the beach with my entire family-aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, siblings, etc-but I missed my JT so much I wanted to come home. Not to mention there was NOTHING to do. My cousin and I were so bored that we decided to come home. I will never go back there again. We were in Ocean City (or as I've dubbed it- Ocean Sh!tty!), and there was nothign to really do. It's a dry town, so there's no bars or anywhere to really hang out, unless of course, you're about 12-16 years old and you play on the boardwalk and build a sandcastle. The beaches were disgusting! There were these GROSS drainage pipes running from the streets down the beach and into the water! So anyway, we came home. The rest of my fam. is still there, but I just couldn't take it. I'd rather be home with JT and in my own bed than on a crappy beach in a dry town! So hello all!

Someone I used to hang out with has a house there. I never understood why since it's a dry town but I think she inheirited (sp) it.
I think you can bring your own liquor into the town but not buy it in the town.
I remember that there wasn't much to do either when we were there. We went to a bar in Wildwood when I visited her.

Yeah, we brought our own liquor, but there's only so much togetherness I can take with my family! HAHA. We went to AC, but I lost all my money And it feels good to be back!

I have to agree - there is nothing much to do there - we stayed at one of the B&B's there - so that in and of itself was nice - other than that we were constantly going back over the bridge!!!!

I hate it down there. My BIL works for Browns Doughnuts and my husband's family owns a huge home on St. Charles.
I hate it there, but then they all hated Long Island so I guess it is just what you are used too...
We just stop at that one liquor store and stock the house or go to Bubba's for happy hour.
Glad your back.
Also, have you noticed people are obsessed with Catholic HS/ College down there with their flags out.
