it really was a beautiful mass and I was so nervous because I had to walk down the aisle with my RCIA classmates at the start of mass and stand in front of the altar steps, we had to state our intentions and make some affirmations then the priest made the sign of the cross on us, then our sponsors made the cross on our forheads, ears, eyes, hearts, shoulders, hands and feet. a special prayer was said for us after the hommily and we exited to reflect on the ceremony and mass.

congrats. I did RCIA and finished in April. I remember all that. I was really embaressed.

thank you!!! I almost got emotional up there, especially when father Andrej tied our spiritual journey as candidates and cathecumans to his hommily re: zaccheus and the sycamore tree. its kinda weird walking down that aisle before marriage with all eyes on you.

i JUST went through that like a month ago....if its the same as mine- every sunday from now till the end u will have to stand up in front of the church, the priest will say a prayer, and they u will be dissmissed and need to walk out in front of the whole church while everyone stares at u lol...thats the one thing i hate about this process...but yeahhh congrats to u!!
