Back to MACY's AGAIN! (UPDATE - as if anyone cares)

Ok I am rather picayune about my china. We receieved all 16 5-piece place settings + soup bowls (96 total pieces) as gifts from many people. I checked each place setting as they came in to make sure that there were no broken or defective pieces. Now I know they are all not perfect but when someone goes to an expense of buying a gift for me, I think it should be right. So I check for chips, uneven lines, missing lines (call it OCD if you have to). Last week DH and I went to exchange a few pieces and had some shipped to us. Look what we got back as a replacement. The whole handle is off center and looks like a factory second. If I wasn't just at the outlet stores on Saturday I wold have ignored it, but it irks me to no end!

**UPDATE:**

Well people, MACY's was wonderful again. They replaced each piece quite easily with no question and couldnt be MORE helpful. I think it was because I wasnt bitc*hy or belligerent. They even complimented my haircut!

That definitely looks off!! I would want to return it too. You would think something like that wouldn't pass the inspection process.

I would return it too.

I returned a glass to crate barrel that came chipped and that only cost $8. So, I know I would do them same for my fine china.

you're definitely not nuts....FH checked each and every piece of our china and it took him about 4 hours! then he went and re-wrapped each piece back into the bubble wrap baggies they came in and taped them all shut again! he's just meticulous about that kind of stuff...i got used to it.

Well, at least the people at Macy's were pleasant. I am registered there too and had a wonderful experience. It's nice to see you had a good experience there. I totally would have taken back the cup as well.

And OMG they have matching table linens now. I am bummed b/c I got the Laurel leaf. I may make DH buy me others. Or I may go behind his back and buy them anyway.
