As much as we love George Washington Manor (and the food was really good), we've decided to keep looking.
The thing that I'm having a problem with is that I would have to book a room if I wanted to have some sort of bridal suite. Then I asked her if there was anyplace to take pictures in the event it rains. She said I could book out the chapel (for an additional $500) just in case.
I just don't like not having a back-up plan in case it rains and I also don't like that I won't have a place to freshen up or just sit back and relax for a bit during the day.

awwww... well it doesn't hurt to look again... you can always go back to the GWM, no?

Yeah...it's a bummer cause we really liked it.

Thatched Cottage The Riviera Brentwood Country club Irish Pub Fox Hollow Inn at Great Neck Leonards Metropolitan - the club
and if none of those work, I'm sure there's more to look at! LOL

it actually sounds like you're making a good decision. It doesn't sound like GWM has everything you're looking for and why shouldn't your RH offer everything you want on your special day?? Hope you find a great place that offers everything you're looking for!

I think you are making the right decision. If they don't have everything you are looking for you shouldn't have to settle.

looks like you have a lot of other choices, and i think you made a good decision! all brides (or is it just me ) want to have it all, and we deserve it! this is your day, and you'll find a perfect place for you!
