Re: Bacne

I used to....I had many topical things from the dermatologist, none ever really worked....went on minocyclin I think and that didn't work either....I actually went on accutane for 5 months and it worked amazingly, and I had hardly any side effects--BUT i know many ppl do have bad side effects and it's a serious drug....you can NOT get preggers while you're on it or within like a year of it either....but if yours isn't as bad the topical stuff or the minocyclin might work!

Ok thanks...its not bad all the time just flare ups (not referring to myself either but someone who wishes to remain nameless!) Anyway I have heard acutane does wonders...my friend was on it. Thanks for your help!!!

Also I am referring to back acne! Lol!!!

I hear it's caused by sweating and wearing tight fitting clothes but, that may just be a guess. It doesn't sound right to me. My MOH suffers from it and she's been using proactiv and it's working for her.

i had it through my teen years, and still have an occassional light breakout. i never went to a dr for it, but i used to use a neutrogena acne wash for it, and it helped a lot.

I have bacne all the time too its so annoying. I've tried using body washes with salacylic acid in them and they never really work. I think I am going to have to make a derm. apt soon so I can make sure it is cleared up before my wedding.

I think it's if it's caused by this stuff than topical things work....if it's hormonal, than topical stuff won't really clear it up all the way and you need something more? I don't really remember, it was like 3 or 4 years ago.....

Re: Bacne

It sometimes happens, and if it's not serious, some astringent like Clean & Clear or Neutrogena could help. Also, sometimes it's some sort of allergy (it was in my case I think) to your body lotion, body wash, or some fabric, or even sun...

Re: Bacne

neither of us do but the same products are used that you would on your face - acne is acne no matter where it pops up.

I get this once in a while, I just use my face wash on my back and scrub it with a back scrubber, and it gets rid of it..

I would try Neutrogena acne body wash!! They have a scrub too!!! I have bacne once in a while too and neutrogena works for me. i also use proactive on my face so if my back starts to break out i often use all the products on my body too. I think they have a body wash line too. Look into it if your interested because they do work@

I also have this problem in the area where my sports bra rests... I recently started using a Clinique acne body spray which seems to be helping
