Bad Cough

MY FH had an infection last week and he is coughing a lot. He went to the doctor and is on medicine for the cough, but is miserable. Any old fashioned ideas on controlling the cough or helping leave his system? Thanks

My nephew, who i am currently babysitting, has a terrible cough, i took him to the dr. but in the meantime i am putting on the hot water in the bathroom rubbing vicks on his chest and letting him sit in the steam for about 20 minutes or longer...hes usually good for a couple of hours after that..hope that helps and that your fh gets better

Whisky, Lemon and Honey is what my parents used to give us, if it was a 'gunky' cough with a lot of phlem - it helps cut through the gook.
