I just feel like I will never be able to afford a house or anything. I'm currently working at Empire State College. The pay stinks but I get to take two college courses for free. I basically live pay check to pay check. I have been like this for a couple years now. I have my associates and I should get my bachelors next year. I went to briarcliffe for my associates and they kept telling me you will definitely find a good job with just your associates. Well they were so wrong. I'm hopping it will get better next year once I finally have my degree but I feel like it never will happen. I always say to myself why do I have to suffer all the time with money, and why didn't I just get my bachelors right out of high school. I've been so giddy with all the wedding stuff (our parents are helping us with the wedding) Lately I've been depressed with this house hunting. I dont want an apartment cause I feel it's just a waste of your money paying for someone else's mortgage. Sorry I just had to let it out

Oh my gosh - you are SO not alone....
It's tough. I graduated with my BA, and had to go back to school for my Masters. It's ridiculous. I feel like I'm not saving a dime....
I guess I'm kind of holding out for the money fairy to come down and bless me/give me winning lotto numbers.

I think you're best bet - as soon as you graduate is to get your foot in the door at a good, established company and work your way up.
Don't worry - things will definitely turn around for you. Let us know if you need help with your resume or anything!!!!

Megan- I know this isnt my board but Im crashing
Dont feel too bad I still need my masters to even get a good job!! Coming out of undergrad this year with a BA in psych gets me NO WHERE!!
Dont worry I am sure if you dont mind commuting into NYC you will def be able to get a great job with a Bachelors if not even now!!

Awww Megan no worries...it an take a LOOOONG time to find a house (believe me I definitely know....it took us 2 years to find one and we are only in contract now) let alone be able to afford one (especially our generation). I know you said you have school but for just a little extra moolah why don't you teach dance as like a second job. That's what I'm doing. I use that money as my weekly 'allowance' and my other money I save.
