I went to try on wedding dresses today in the pouring rain - I didn't care because I was so excited! I went to Follia Bridal in White Plains, NY & boy was I dissapointed! It was so unorganized & the staff was not helpful & quite rude! They told me that their ceiling fell earlier in the week & the back of store got ruined so I could not go back there to select dresses or use the dressing rooms or the mirror with the podium step. They had me in a dressing room that was hardly covered & the 80 year old lady helping me didn't even bring me dresses that I liked!!! I showed her pictures of dresses I liked by desiners that they carry but of course they did not have those dresses in the store & said they can order them. She questioned my style of dress and said that the one I liked had too much dress on the bottom --???? But that's what I like??? Ugh I did not feel like a bride should feel when trying on bridal dresses. It was very unprofessional! And then she ran outside after me & said with an attitude, 'But I NEED the style #'s of dresses you want' I politely told her that I am in a rush & will call her --- NOTTTTTT!!!!! I will never be coming there again!!!!!

I fell your pain ( kinda) I went to Davids bridal in centereach, to find a maid of honor dress. the ladies were so not into helping us ( there was a young girl, that did help with questions and stuff) but for the most part i felt since it was just for one dress, we were a bother... Went down the road to bridal suite of cenereach.. and let me tell you night and day. a lady named Barbara helped us. ( poor dawn) to to have tried on 15 dresses or more. and barbara, with a great sense of humor on a few of them told her to just turn around and try on an other dress, before she even went to a mirror. then every dress we liked , it diden't come in the shade of pink we needed.. and Barbara like a true pro. said, were going about this wrong. lets find the color and then the dress. and bam two dresses later we had the dress.

That is upsetting...I'm sorry! I have heard good things about Bayshore Bridal and The Wedding Center in Commack is not bad! Try Bridal Reflections in Massapequa I got a very nice lady Darnell to help me! She was so sweet! And she didn't try to push dresses on me that were out of my price range!

Thanks everyone! I know these bad experiences are just a small bump in the road. I will go back to the first Bridal shop I found my Allure gown in & try Bridal Reflections. I just want to pick my dress already!

That sucks! I went to a bridal store in our area( it should remain nameless) that carried a designer I liked , instead of traveling to BR of Massapequa. It was the worst experience ever. They didn't even have any of the dresses I wanted to try on. They weren't organized and the old lady 'helping' us (i use that word loosely) gave me an attitude when I asked if she any of the styles I was looking for. Don't give up!!! I'm going to Bridal Reflections of Mass. instead. You can't beat a salon that has many designers and dresses.

I think I know what bridal store you're talking about. Yeah I'm sef going to bridal reflections. My sister got her dress there so maybe I'll get a discount. Their service was great too!
