Bad eye pain..I cant even sleep :(

I have been suffering the past couple of days with extreme eye pain. Its not inside my eyes, its more my eyelids. It feels like they do when I have a headache and although I do have a slight one, its nothing like others. I thought sleep would help but every time I wake up, it seems to be getting worse. It feels like heaviness at first but then its actual pain like someone punched me in my eyes. It even hurts when I close them. I tried warm compresses and it only soothes while I am doing it but right after it still hurts.

Of course dh is telling me its cause I look at the computer screen too much but I havent been on as much lately and why all of a sudden. My vision seems to be fine but this pain is really bad. Any suggestions??

I would call a doctor and limit computer/tv time until you talk to them and see what's up. I hope you feel better

FI is struggling with something similar. The doctors have concluded it is Sinus pressure. I am actually taking him for a Cat-scan today to find out where the pressure is and how bad it is. Sinuses stink!

is your bottom lid puffy, does it sting when you close it? maybe its a stye? (SP) go to the eye dr
you may need a RX for drops

May be from grinding your teeth or clenching your jaw while you sleep...! I speak from experience

This is going to sound insane but about 2 weeks ago I went to Adventureland and rode the roller coaster like 4 times. The last time I rode, I hit my head on the side of the seat so hard that my dh actually heard something crack..i think it was my jaw or something. Ever since then I have had this weird pain in my head, like every time i make a quick move or turn it hurts and now my eyes have been hurting. I Dont know if its connected in any way.

Today I felt a bit better. I put a warm cloth on it last night and this morning and wore a patch for a while so it may be eye strain also. THanks for the replies..i think im gonna make an appoinment for the eye doctor.
