My wedding is in January and i had the idea of getting an artificial snow machine for our first dance.....has anyone ever heard of anyone doing this before?? I heard that some dj's have this, but i have never seen it.

The fake snow machines I've seen before use soap to mimic snow -- could be *extremely* slippery and not appropriate for a wedding.
If it's something you want to do, definitely look into it a bit and see if it's plausible, and find out if your RH would allow it. I just found out mine won't allow bubbles in the room we're having our ceremony.

I like the idea! You might want to check with your RH to make sure they allow it. Many RHs have strict rules not allowing fog machines etc. so I would def check before you spend the money.

yeah i def have to check with RH first. i found a place that does it and the flakes evaporate before it hits the ground, they say apparently it makes no mess, but i will have to look into it a little more!!

I think that's a cute idea as long as the logistics work out. Make sure it isn't slippery and that it can't stain. Also, make sure to check with your RH to see if they allow it.

i think thats a great idea! i would look into it more like the other girls said. I also agree with the other girls about making sure it doesn't make the dance floor slippery. I would also check to see how noisy the machine is because you don't want a loud machine ruining the moment while your dancing

Maybe you can do it w/confetti paper that looks like snow???....but do it for the last dance of the night instead of the first? Just a thought.

i love the idea but like others said check with the RH first and make sure it ISNT SLIPPERY! I danced for years and the snow machines they used for ballets like the Nutcracker made the stage so slippery.. without fail someone wiped out every year..... you'd think they'd come up with a better idea!

Sounds like a really cool idea! I saw something similar on tv where there was artificial snow lining the aisle instead of flowers as the bride walked down the aisle, it was already in place and it wasnt the melting type, they had votives along the aisle too...it was beautiful!!!
