is it bad luck to let FH see the veil i want to bid on?
i know its nad luck for FH to see the dress beforehand, but is it same for veils?

Most guys even it you show it to them now won't even remember what it looks like months later!!!
I showed a pic of my dress to my FH 2 months ago and he doesn't even remember now what it looks like!!!

the whole 'not seeing the bride before the wedding' is a custom that dates back to prearranged marraiges. this was set up, so neither the bride nor the groom could back out last minute. i wouldn't worry too much about him seeing the veil or even the dress, just keep some element of surprise to make it fun.

Does it really matter though? FI knows everything that I'm having/doing...
Men don't have the capability of piecing it together as far as I'm concerned.
You show them stuff in bits and pieces, they forget about it the minute it's not in their face.
Show it...nothing wrong w/it in my opinion.

I wanted to show my FI my veil and tiara, but my grandma said I can't. I guess bc it's part of the ensemble. I really don't see a problem with it, but I'm respecting her wishes, it's a small price to pay and I know he wants to be surprised anyway.

My FH seen a pic of the dress but lord knows he doesn't remember what it looks like plus not all the detail is shown in the pic plus it looks different on the model then on me.
