Bad night last night...

Sorry for the long vent...But last night I'm leaving FH's apartment and I go to my car. get in and notice my driver's side mirror is gone, so I got out of the car. I didn't even realize it when I got in, someone hit my car and left the scene...They ripped off my driver's side mirror and I had white and grayish paint scratches across the side of my car. I filled out a police report but there was nothing they could do. There is some good news to this story though, FH's dad is a mechanic so he was able to fix the scratches today and is putting a new mirror on for me tomorrow. Atleast I don't have to go through paying for an insurance deductible while I'm trying to pay for this wedding. It's so annoying that people can just hit someone's car and then leave like nothing happened!

I know how you feel...my car ( only 1 month old at the time) got hit in a parking lot, so bad that I couldnt drive it, over $4000 in damage....the people just left like it never happend....

I am so sorry! I know how you feel the same thing happened to me two weeks ago, the mirror and side of my car was scratched. BUT to make matters worse 2 weeks before that a 30ft branch fell on my car and broke my rearview window and dented the whole side of the car! It ***** when you are saving all your money to pay for a wedding and then you have to shell out all this money to fix things you have no control of.

But in the big scheme of things all of that is fixable thank God noone got hurt. i still no it ***** and I am sorry!

I know how badly that *****! One day I walk out to my car and the whole drivers side window is smashed to smitherines. I can't believe some people. I have to say that if I clipped a car I probably wouldn't stop. And I mean bumped or something light. But if I took off a mirror or smashed a window then I would totally leave a note. Good thing you have a mechanic in the family!

I know the feeling. Ive had my tires slashed (at least three times), my side mirror torn off, my wiper blades bent, scratches on the side of my car..etc...some people can be such a sses....

That stinks! Good thing FHs dad is going to fix it-im like patrol, if I go somewhere and see someone hit someones car I whip out my pen and take the plate!

Last year I was sitting at a red light and someone hit me from behind. We get out of the car, I call the police and the guy just drove off. I got his license plate and everything and the cops still didn't do anything for me. I know how you feel. But you are very lucky that you don't have to go through insurance.

That stinks! Like 4 months ago I got into my car to go to work and noticed a HUGE crack in my windshield by the drivers side, it looked like someone hit it with a beer bottle, it was smashed in a small round circle, like the bottom of the bottle, and it cracked up from there...I was pissed!
