Ok so you missed a bo-k but not getting the centerpieces you ordered and having flowers taken out and replaced! Do yourself a favor and all of your paperwork together. Tell her your going to the People's court bc what she did is F'd up and Judge Molan won't have that!

I want to start off by saying, I am sorry you had a frustrating time with your florist and I hope the rest of your day was WONDERFUL!...but....

Have you personally spoken to the owner of this florist yet? For the flowers in your centerpieces that she changed...were they the colors that you ordered? Perhaps the flowers that were intended for your centerpieces arrived from the grower in bad condition, perhaps she had no option but to at least match the to the colors you had ordered? About the prices for the arrangements being lowered to 85 from 100, maybe she made a mistake, and if you show her the signed paper, for the lower price she will see the error.

I really do not think that it was the florists intention to make your day frustrating. I would suggest going in and sitting down to go over the contract. You can show her photos of the centerpieces you had for your wedding and show her what you you were actually suppose to have, according to the contract.

Being that this is a new business, as I am sure with any business, they will be happy to accommodate you and try to make it up to you. Don't write them off as horrible yet, they may have just made a mistake, which they will probably try to solve for you. The way to get what you want is to go the florist with a very understanding attitude. If you go in there ranting about how they ruined your day, they probably will be more likely to write you off, and not be as happy to help you. The last thing anyone of us wants is for people to come in screaming at you for making a mistake on the job.

And in the end ladies does it really matter if the flowers weren't exactly what we ordered? We are marrying the man of our dreams and starting a new chapter in out lives! Give them some slack until you have actually talked to the owner. As another poster said, there are two sides to every story. We all make mistakes.

Thanks for the heads up! This is ridiculous and you should have demanded some type of monetary compensation. I would contact the better business bureau, just because she put a crimp in your day-put a crimp in her day!

Why the vengence? Put a crimp in her day for haveing put a crimp in your day! That is unfair. Running a business is hard. People make mistakes at work, there is no need to tattle tail to the BBB over the wrong flowers...if she took your money, closed up shop and was never heard from again, then report her, but for the wrong flowers??

Agreed!!!!! Thats nuts...

i'm sorry that happened to you. i would be upset too... i mean, i know running a business is difficult and things happen but c'mon, it's flowers and they were supposed to be written down in a contract, then they double check that and you sign it, THEN there is a sample CP made-- there are many chances for the 'kinks' to get worked out. I just feel like it's not that difficult to get the type of flowers i want correct-- I mean, that is your job and the ONLY thing you are being hired for. so I can definitely understand your frustration.

hopefully (and i'm sure) you were the only one that noticed that. i would be upset and i would want compensation because it's not what you paid for. a contract is a contract for a reason-- they say i will do 'ABC' and if they do 'XYZ' instead, then they are voiding that contract.

well, i hope it works out and that regardless-- you had a wonderful wedding day. my FFIL is a business owner and it's hard (and small mistakes happen) but something like that, that was in the contract, should have never happened, IMO... it's simple organization and caring for the customer to make sure everything is right-- if that doesn't happen then you do the right thing by the customer as a business owner and make it up to them.

I would be very upset, if like the above poster said, the flowers that we in the contract couldn't be used and she had to change them, then she should have given you call, and explained the situation before the wedding so you would know what to expect before you walked in and saw the wrong flowers.
Although the day is about marrying the person you love, you put a lot of time, energy and money to make the day as special as you can, and when you take the time to meet with a vendor, go over a contract, and explain to them what you want, you shouldn't have to worry that they are going to take it upon themselves to change what is in the contract. You paid her to do a job, she should have done it right.

I am sorry it happened to you but why did you let yourself feel like flowers would RUIN your wedding day. As upset as we get, things are going to happen. ALWAYS!!!

You need to keep calm, let the storm pass then discuss with the florist. Did you do that?

NOTHING COULD RUIN MY DAY! TRUST ME! IT WAS PERFECT!!! i just saw the diffence in pics and i was amazed thats all.

trust me something so minor did not ruin my day NOTHING DID!!! I MARRIED THE MAN OF MY DREAMS!!!

Actually I read EXACTLY what she wrote and what you wrote the first time. She had EVERY right to write her experience. Glad to see you edited your post so that you didnt look like you were jumping on her the way you did from the beginning. When someone has a problem with a vendor they are most definitely allowed to share that info...if you dont like then dont read. Sorry to original poster that you felt you needed to conform bc someone didnt like what you wrote...what a shame.

The bottom line is that there are always too sides to a story. Sometimes we get so wrapped up into our own believes that we 'forget' to mention some other parts of the story. It's not meant intentionally but it happens.

I am not talking about what happened here in particular but let's remember that we did not hear what the florist had to say.

So, while I appreciate people's comments on their experience, I would not judge/rule out a vendor because of it.
