Any suggestions of where to get a bag or holder for an envelopes received at the reception?

We used a beautiful, white, old fashioned birdcage, decorated with flowers. My friend's mom made it, but I think you could rent one from a party store. : )

Someone on this board had the idea of depositing the cards in a box that is wraped as a present. - Sorry I forgot who it was. I have the traditional bag, but dont want to carry it around full of cards, so as it gets full I am going to deposit the cards in the box. The box will be be fully wraped with a slit in the middle of the top that is covered by a ribbon that can be moved over for deposits. This way the box will blend in with any other presents we may receive.

Every bridal store has them and Hallmark stores do too. Just a thought. My Mom is making mine. She bought the material and decorations. She decorated my unity candle too. It came out great. Nice memories already.

We did that-wrapped a box

I wrapped a decent size box with white paper and then wrapped tulle around it like a gift and then cut a slot (large enough to allow odd sized cards too) and I also hot glued some flowers and stuff on too. The tulle bow was right in front of the slot and it was fluffy enough that it kind of obscured the slot. We had it on the gift table which was kind of out of the way, sort of behind us. No one misunderstood and thought we expected them to 'deposit' the cards (which is the concern that I had and have heard others worry about.) It cost nothing to make and it was cute - and the cards were all in one place where they couldn't get lost or misplaced.

it was on the gift table right behind our table-- it looked so much like a gift that my husband didnt know it was there!!! and he helped wrap it ;-) it is inexpensive and easy to transport at the end of the night Laura
