FH really likes the bag pipers. I really would love to do this. My wedding is 19 days away. My FBIL knows someone and he said they would do it for $150 a person.I only want to have two people. I'm waiting to get the number so I can call them.
Is $150 a good price? I would like to get cheaper if possible since I would only like them to play for a few minutes before dinner. Could someone share the bag piper company they used and how much they were?
I already bought him the B-Pics and a BeerTender so this would be in addition to those two. TIA!

Re: Bag Piper
Here is the thing...Bagpipers charge by the hour. Whether you have them play for 5 mins or a full hour they will charge you for an hour.
150 is an excellent price

Thanks everyone! I'm thinking maybe I will have the bag piper come to the church instead.

Re: Bag Piper
I'm thinking about having him outside the church.. but it may be nice at the RH.. but would you have to feed them then and would they need insuance like the other vendors?

Re: Bag Piper
Check with your vendor, mine just told me I need contact information not the whole insurance sheet. As far as feeding them I am not sure, they usually just stay for a little while and leave not like other vendors who are there the whole day.

Re: Bag Piper
you can do that or call a Hibernian hall that is close to the church- most Long Island Hibernian halls have a pipe band- if you call them directly, you may be able to get it for even lower!

Re: Bag Piper
I actually got this through the Fire department, I emailed one of FH's friends without him knowing.... so it will be a surprise & I am having them come to the reception.

Re: Bag Piper
DEF a GREAT price! My friend did ours but with the union it's $200 for a bag piper (it's a 'donation' to club). It's the same rate for FDNY too.
