Re: Bagpiper Refferal
My sister had them at her wedding (husband's side). I believe they were from Northport and referred to his father by the local fire department, so check with yours.

I agree check with local fire dept or irish organization. But I know Long Island Sound - Chris knows of someone. Because I was thinking of surprising my FH with it at the wedding he is Irish.

Re: Bagpiper Refferal
Does anyone know how much a bagpiper would cost? I'm Irish and would LOVE to have a bagpiper play as we leave the church but we are on a tight budget, I didn't think I would be able to afford it. Around how much have other brides paid? Does anyone know?

FH's uncle plays pipes and he will be playing at our wedding. I would definitely suggest checking with your local fire department!

Re: Bagpiper Refferal
I am using the NYPD pipe and drum band. My FH is a cop but they will do it for anyone. It is pretty expensive though. Forum mail me if you want the details.

Re: Bagpiper Refferal
Ok, I used NYPD (my uncle and dad r cops) for the reception. They played about 5 songs, had us dance inside the circle, and were just wonderful! We paid about 500.00 but I am not sure if that is the 'going price'.
We also used a wonderful man who is a part of the NYFD, his name was Brian and he played for a half hour outside our church before and after the ceremony! He was absolutely wonderful and I would recommend him to anyone! He charged us 200.00 for that time. FM me if you want more details!
email him...ill plug him anytime! Tell him my name, and the mount carmel wedding, i think he will remember me!!!!!!!!!
