Bagpipers..

For those who have had/are having bagpipers play at your wedding, when is the best time to have them come? We're having guest singers for the church, so I don't really want to drown them out with bagpipers, so I'm leaning towards reception, but do they do it at dinner? Or is that too much goin on? Any suggestions? Does the DJ usually plan that stuff?

We're having them come in during the middle of the reception and play a few tunes, I believe we're doing it right after dinner.

Engaged and Excited is also having bagpipers at her reception as well and Johnny&Maur had them (I've searched on this topic a bit)

I have heard them play outside after the wedding while you are on the receiving line.

First off, you have a great name

My sis had bagpipers during the reception. They came in during the dancing portion, played like 5 songs- everyone was on their feet surrounding the dance floor. We have a big Irish family and they all loved it.
