Bahamas here we come

sooo finally I will be going on my FIRST cruise!!!

remember a few weeks ago we were deciding between cozumel and a cruise to the bahamas? well once we looked at airfare, our decision was made

it was 1200 pp to cozumel for airfare alone so we booked a carnival cruise to freeport and nassau bahamas for new years 12/30-1/4!!!

i am sooo excited ... just wish it was december already... i could sure use a vacay

anyone ever been? suggest any excursions or things to do at port?

No suggestions - except to have an AWESOME time!!!

i've been to the Bahamas twice now and i Love it!

definately swim with the dolphins. It's a little expensive but soooo worth it.

also, there is a HUGE market in one of the main ports. You have to take a cab there but other people on the cruise usually go to, so you can split the cost. It's like an outdoor flea market kind of thing. Most people are selling the same things but a lot of them are cheaper than the others. So if you do go there make sure to shop around and negotiate with them.

i totally suggest getting your hair braided. even if you only get a few braids. it's a lot of fun and even if you just leave them in for the cruise it's nice and very tropical.

depending on how long you are in port for... a few places have Booze Cruises. You pay a flat fee, and go out on the boat and they give you dinner which is usually BBQ of some sort and unlimited bahama mamas and some other drinks. it's tons of fun and is usually at sunset. when we went there were dolphins swimming along the boat and we got to pet them.
