Without getting into too much detail. We are sending out STD's they are small 4x6 postcards. Nothing formal.
Side info: 60 invites. Smaller wedding. Mostly family n close friends. Two questions,
If it's an unmarried couple, does the mans name go first and how important is this for STD's?
Mr.Joe Smith Ms. Jane Doe 2 Red lane Etc...
Or
Ms. Jane Doe Mr.Joe Smith 2 Red lane Etc...
Second question:
These are STD's so clearly I'm not addressing them with '& Guest' - Do you think it has to say 'The Smith Family' or can it just say 'mr. & mrs. Smith.'?
Yikes! One more, and obviously for the actual formal invitation it'll be different, but for these small envelopes I did:
Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Do you think it needs to be Mr. & Mrs. Michael Smith ???????
Nobody likes a groomzilla! Please help!
Thanks! I'm typing on my phone so sorry for any weird errors that I may not catch.

Re: BAHH! pls help.
I actually just finished addressing my save the dates. I'm not sure this is 100% proper but its how i did it..
Unmarried couple i put the women first, i don't know why i just did... lol
And guest: I only did this for people who wont really know anyone. Just to assure them that they wont be at a wedding and not know anyone. Were going to give all of our bridal party Guests but we didn't put that on the save the dates.
Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Do you think it needs to be Mr. & Mrs. Michael Smith
The proper way is: Mr. & Mrs. Michael Smith I find it offensive to call a women Mrs. Michael Smith... I just find it weird to call a women by her husbands full name. SO i put Mr. & Mrs. M. Smith I know its stupid... but it made my feminist side happy so
haha good luck! I hope you don't hand address them like i did. My hand felt like a giant noodle when i was done

Re: BAHH! pls help.
I did the man's name if the couple is engaged/ dating a long time
if they are a couple who haven't been dating long- i addressed it to only who I'm friends with (will include 'guest' on invite)
For families- I addressed it to 'the smith's' so they have an idea that their kids are invited, for guests that have kids who I'm not inviting- I put Mr & Mrs joe smith

Re: BAHH! pls help.
WHen I did my STD's I did not put '& guest.' I saved that for the invites.
My STD's were magnets so I only did one per house.
Mr. and Mrs. John Smith Miss. Mary Smith
Thats how I did it...
ETA: If they were dating a while or engaged I put both names.
