Has anyone ordered from Ballard Designs? I have been eyeing up their Piccola Cabinet for a few months now and want to take the plunge. Anyone have good things to say about their furniture?

I love their catalog! I haven't ordered from them but Nate Bertkus on Oprah always uses them. I would assume they are good then! Post a pic of the cabinet...I'd love to see it!

I have never ordered from them, but when I went to Hildreth's in Westhampton the sales associate recommend that I check them out because they have such great items.

This is the cabinet I want to put by the front door with a mirror above it.
Now how to I convince DH that he wants this too? He is such a minimalist and even though this is small, he likes all of the open space. I hate too much openness. I feel cold when a place has very little decor.

good luck! My problem is DH is too picky. I am picky but he is even pickier most of the time! Luckily we usually have the same taste! Can you convince him on the basis of function?

I've ordered from them and sent gifts as well -- never had a problem. The quality is good -- very similar to pottery barn. If you like Ballard you should try http://www.horchow.com
