I was there last night, too!

Creepy guys can show up anywhere...so don't let that stop everyone from going to the gym! That place does tend to turn into a Meat Market around 8 pm.

Seriously...I'm glad you're ok. That must have been scary! Imagine actually having to use a Kwando Kick on a creep like that!

I usually park far away but out in the open. I park by Blockbuster or closer to Home Depot. (Kinda near where that box is for the clothes they collect for charity.) There are plenty of lights in that area and someone will be bound to see you in a situation like that.

have you called the local precinct to make a complaint? i know it may seem like it is not necessary, but maybe this has happened in the past over there. who knows if they have done anything else like this or worse in the past. at least if you make a harassment complaint, they can check out the area. jmo...

I would also call the head office of Bally's wherever it is. I am sure the last thing they would want is people to leave their gym and go some where else. I am glad to see you are ok. What jerks!!!! Let LIW girls at 'em!

shamee - i'm so sorry that happened to you. the exact same thing happened to my GF a few weeks ago!! she was mentioning for awhile how the place had started to get a little 'shady' after a certain hour and she was no longer comfortable. she actually quit the gym and now she goes to a local one by us.

definitely have an employee walk you out!!!!!!

I heard back from the management and they were all kinds of apologetic. They offered to have me come in and look around to see if I recognized them or not. Yeah, like I'm going to stand on the gym floor and point them out. No way!! They were reluctant to offer any info like if it had happened before, etc. and they offered to have one of the workers walk me out after dark. Great, but I will have to explain to the random workers at the desk every night WHY I need to have someone walk me out? What a pain. Problem solved, I'll go to Lake Grove - it'll give me an excuse to hang with Michelle W anyway
