has anyone looked into giving bamboo for their favor..that was the first flower that fh gave me if you can consider it a flower and it's supposed to bring good luck..

My FMIL suggested this to me a while ago and at the time I really liked the idea.... I'm not sure anymore though because I've noticed that alot of my guests already have bamboo in their house....but I never got as far as checking out prices....

i've noticed that too actually all the girls at work have bamboo and i'd hate to give them more..lol

I just got married last Friday and we gave bamboo as the favor. Everybody LOVED it!!!! We got the pots in Chinatown and the bamboo at a place in College Point (6 stalks wrapped together with gold ties) and the rocks came from there also. We decorated them with ribbons with our names and curling ribbon as well.
They looked so pretty and I think it's very original. In fact, we've already heard from one couple that wants to have the same favor at their wedding.

You can never have too many bamboo .
Anyway, it is good luck if it is given to you as a gift (so i heard). I have 1 at work and if I was given another, I would be more than happy to have it.
