Bamboo

Bamboo

Has anyone seen bamboo favors? My grandma was telling me about it and how it means good luck etc and I thought it might be a cute idea to have a mini vase with one piece of bamboo for each person. I want to try and see what it would look like though- if anyone has seen this, please let me know! :) Thanks :)

My grandma told me the same thing!!! Actually there were bamboo shoots in littl epots. They were breakaway centerpieces... at the end of the night each guest took one home.

Lucky Bamboo

FH and I had matching lucky bamboo from a street fair when went to when we first started dating and mine just died perhaps i should have watered it once in a while.

We're using lucky bamboo as part of our centerpieces. We bought Votives and glass beads and closer to the wedding we're buying bamboo from Chinatown.

We're using four of these at the four corners of our Chinese Lantern Centerpieces. HOPEFULLY folks will get the hint and take them home too! heh

I think it's a great favor....but remember they are lucky in GROUPS of 3 stalks!! At least that is what I was told.....I got mine at a local fleamarket for like .75 a stalk depending on the height of it!

What a great idea! I love my lucky bamboo plant. I have had it for over a year and it grows soooo fast. One thing though, the vase has water in it, that could be a little tricky for the guests to get home.
