Yesterday I went to the Watermill shocase I had such a good time and everything was great, later in the night there was a band playing and I LOVE IT it was great. So after they finish I approach to there table and ask for a quote it will be $6700!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (way out of my budget) it will include 1 hour cocktail and 4 hours reception. I will like to know if anyone else had check out bands and how much was it??? TIA

I am just starting to look now....bands can run anywhere from about 6000 to 10000+, depending on popularity and size.

Wow! That sounds like a lot to me, but I don't know because I have not really started quoting band prices yet. In fact, I think we are going to use a DJ...I think they are cheaper.

I think as far as bands go that might be pretty reasonable. to me, but for some people that's acceptable.
My band is $6300 for the 4 hours of the reception plus a keyboard player for the CH and an extra $600 for a dj for the v-hour

I've looked at a lot of bands... especially since my sis is getting married in 08 and we looked high and low for her. The best for the price we found was the Mystic (6k for four hours, and 1 hr CH) After she booked one of the 06 girls on here recommended platinum music band based in NJ. I called and asked for a cd/dvd. They sent both. I was VERY impressed. When I requested the price list I was soooo surprised. Their price for an 8pc band is 4750, 9pc is 5050, and 10pc is 5550. They even offer a 7pc band. They dont show a price...but im sure its around 4000. So cheap for what they offer. WOW...I want to have a band so much though my FH keeps pushing for a DJ and now I might go along with him. I had no clue that bands were anywhere from $6,000 to $10,000. Way out of our budget. Hmmm...
