I want to have both a band and DJ at the wedding. Does anyone know of any companies that offer this type of arrangement??
I am really into music and used to DJ an 80s Night in college and I feel like sometimes a band just cant do justice to certain songs, you know?
I also love the idea of a band and want to mix the best of the both worlds!!!

Re: Band and DJ together, any ideas??
I like the idea. I don't know offhand, but I get these cards all the time from Stan Weist Music, which apparently has all types of bands, musicians, singers, etc. They may also have DJ's.

Great idea! I don't know offhand, but a company Stan Wiest Music sends me cards all the time, they have every kind of band, musician, etc. and might have DJ's too . . . .

Well lots of DJ's have live pieces that you can add on. Like I hired a DJ with a percussionist.... so its nice touch and seems like live music. Also you can hire musicians for parts of it. Example, have a Singer or Saxophone for dinner. Have steel drums player for cocktail hour and then get a percussionist to play along with the DJ for the other 3 hours. I booked with FM Entertainment. They have live musicians of all kinds. Check the out.

Thanks for the suggestion! :)
I have heard of adding on a drummer, saxophone, etc., but I want a full service band with a DJ....my one possibly real splurge...
My cousin gave me the name of one company that I need to check out, will keep everyone posted!!
