One of the bands that FH and I are interested in take a 15 minute break when the main course is served, and besides that they take a 10 minute break every hour. They did indicate that they could have the keyboardist or guitarist play background music during the breaks so that there is not a break in live continuous music. Does this seem like a lot of breaks? How do I ask the band to take less breaks???? TIA!

I honestly think it's ok if the band takes a break while the main course is being served...as long as there is some kind of backgroung music going on it's ok.
If you are intereted in checking out another band though Code Bleu (my band) does not take any breaks...and they are awesome!

I dont really think it's acceptable. You are paying for live music -- you should get live music. I do know that my band will really only have 1-2 people on stage during dinner -- bu beyond that-- they are playying all night

No not that band! We're checking them out at a showcase the end of Sept. They don't take any breaks...only when orders need to be taken and during hot courses (and even then I'm pretty sure they always have live music playing). This is another affordable band that I'm interested in also.
