What bands has everyone looked at/ going with? FH and I saw one that we liked a lot but he wanted to wait a little before booking and now they are taken! Need some ideas of who else to check out.

As you know, I'm more of a DJ gal myself, but ask around on the 08 boards to see who booked which bands for their weddings.

I'm using Arcadia...only because Renegade was book already! We feel in love with Arcadia at a showcase when they played 'our' song. I suggest going to a few showcases to see/talk to the bands in person.

We booked After hours. They are an amazing band and affordable. I went to a wedding last summer that used Code Blue and they were amazing as well but very pricey.

My question is....Who can afford a band? I saw Timepiece at the Watermill on Tuesday and I thought they were great. I would love to have a band at my wedding, but, I do not justify the 6K+ pricetag.

For us, we knew we wanted a band for our wedding and agreed that it was something we wanted to splurge on.

The Projekt Timepiece Heart & Soul Vision Body Heat Code Bleu Renegade
We absolutely fell in love with Code Bleu and just booked them. I can't wait to have them play at our wedding!
'we are having a DJ but we saw 'THE NAKED TRUTH' at a showcase and loved them

Some people can't justify the amount of money we're all spending on our entire wedding... doesn't mean we shouldn't do it. To each their own, right?
Jen, keep an eye out in Sunday Newsday... I've seen advertisements about bridal showcases from time to time. Also... register to go the Bridal Extravaganza... they had a few great bands there last year.

I totally agree with you. I'm not slamming anyone that is getting a band. If anything, I'm a little jealous. I wish I could afford one. It's just out of our price range.
