Hey everyone - I need some advice. My fiance and I saw a band this week that we like, and they told us they are available for our date. However, our reception is a Saturday night, and they are playing at another wedding that afternoon. I'm concerned that they will be tired and won't have as much energy after playing another wedding that day. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Thanks for your input.

If they are a good reputable band, this shouldn't be a problem. My mother is a musician and often plays 'double headers'. She's a professional and gives her all whether it's one job a day or two. Frankly- that's a good sign- they are in demand, they must be good.

I think a lot of good bands will do this--- an afternoon wedding and then an evening wedding--especially on a Saturday.
If youre really concerned talk to them, but I think it should be ok (you may want to think about having food for them!)

Thanks so much. You are probably right. I'm just a little worried because the first wedding ends at 5:30 and mine starts at 7:00. I will talk to them about it before finalizing anything. And I will definitely feed them. Thanks!!

this is how they make their living- they wouldn't have agreed to take the job if they couldn't get there in time.. believe me, my mother does this all the time.
