Hi all May I ask what must be written in stone for a band contract? What important points I must discuss and have written? What should I be aware of before signing? I have no idea what to do with contract. I just want to have a wonderful wedding I don't want to be taken advantage of. Thank you very much for your input.
p.s. do i have to be anal-retentive to have break times listed??? some of the bridal magazines I have read said break times should be listed. I thought that be crazy ?? I am confused.

In my band contract it has: time band plays (mine is just reception 8:30-12:30) names of band members payment and dates its due location of wedding their policy if someone gets sick/emergency - they find replacement overtime fees i think that's it - we do not have break info in ours

that sounds about right - i have the same information i believe in mine. Make sure the band members are listed - that is really important.

I know its important to have band members listed on contract. I mean I heard horror stories where band members are missing.. or what if emergencies.. does the contract has to state in writing ' in case of emergencies/missing band members, the band leader get another person. Does the contract have to be that specific? what if the band does not abide to what they already discussed with you? Or maybe i'm just a worried bride

Can you ask them NOT to put out the board with their name on it? We are going to see a band and the photo showed them with a sign w/ the bands name on it...just wondering what anyone else did!
