Is there normally any negotiating with price when booking a band??

Some band negotiate..you can ask for less pieces, maybe that will get your cost down.

Absolutely. You can negotiate based on the number of pieces, the day of the week, time of the year, and cash vs. check price. I think you'll gain the greatest amount of leeway if the wedding is at a slow time of year, if you're booking somewhat close to the wedding date, and/or if it's on a day/time other than Saturday night. Thanks so much girls...I was able to get them down 400$...which brought them from just out of our price range to right int he middle!!!

I negotiated with my band. I told them I was looking at another band that had the same pieces for $1000 less. He matched that price. It usually works well when they are an independent and not part of a huge company.

I would love to have a band but of course the price is the concern - if you don't mind my asking how much are you paying and for who??

Ours was negotiable - I always try to negotiate though...
