Hi Girls. Does anyone know a good band to use at the reception and how much they run? It's always been a dream of mine to have a band playing at my wedding.

im using code bleu. they have an 8, 9, and 10 piece option. they quoted me 6600 for 2009 and 6800 for 2010 for the 8 piece, then extra for the other two pieces

I would also suggest using a site like Gigmasters.com to get bids from different bands found on the site. Many times if you hire one, they will also pay the fee to the site. Good Luck!

We did A Current Affair, they are 9 pieces standard and they cover almost any song like the originals. Look them up on here, the reviews are fabulous. If you close your eyes you almost think your listening to the real deal, from Frank Sinatra to Barry White to Bon Jovi to Rhianna. They can do it all. And because they are so large they never break all at once, which means no covering with an i-pod, they scatter their breaks.
They run $7000 standard (I think), my dad booked them so I believe that is what he told me. We actually went a little more to get an extra singer and a sax player.
By the way, the way I found them is my dad has been collecting business cards from bands he liked for years. He had 15 of their card on his dresser, he kept collecting their card, which means they are consistent.

Skyline orchestras! They were amazing!! My guests still cannot stop talking about the band from my wedding. They were 9 peices for around 7k

I used Soul Revival and they were amazing! DH and I loved them, so did our guests. They were by far one of my favorite vendors
