Band Help! (kinda long)

Band Help! (kinda long)

I need your help! The band that had penciled in our wedding date before the holidays and promised they would hold it until we went to their next live showcase which was this week just sent FI an e-mail saying a wedding planner booked our date with another couple without checking with the band first and the band needs to honor that contract even though the band told us it was first come first served. We contacted Code Bleu and Times Square Orchestra who are both booked. I was hoping you ladies could give me some suggestions of some other bands for $6k or less. Sorry so long, i'm just really upset and frustrated right now b/c I thought we would have a band booked by the end of this week and now it seems FI and I are back at square one.

I'm sorry, that stinks. Check out some of the Franklin Wayne Bandes like Heart and Soul or Daybreak's Night. They might be in that price range.

Good luck!

Try the company Stolen Moments. We had wanted to book the original Stolen Moments but they were already booked for our wedding day. We wound up going with Moonlight Silhouettes and they were awesome! And about $1000 less. Either way, both bands are around or under $6000. You can here samples on the website, www.stolenmoments.com

Sorry to hear that. We used Niteflight and they were awesome. They are definitely under $6k. They are a vendor on here.

How about any of the other Skyline Orchestra bands?

Re: Band Help! (kinda long)

That would definitely be an option. Although I'm not sure what other bands they have, I'll check it out. Thanks!

Skyline Orchestras has a band named Skyline - that is who we booked with. We really liked their sound and energy.

Try The Projekt too. They are a vendor on here. If you contact them directly (like through their website) you'll save some $$$.

Re: Band Help! (kinda long)

Sorry to hear about that-how upsetting. I love my band-East Coast Band-I have a good feeling about them and I saw them live 3 times at a bar not a wedding band showcase. I sing so I am very particular and I know a good singer vs. one that merely sounds good because of good equiptment. Call Tom the manager (and also the guitarist) and tell him I referred you. His number is 631-673-3641. They are a vendor on here. I knew they were good too when I noticed that on 2 occasions I saw them they had couples who had them perform at their wedding who returned just to hear them again. One couple just raved about them. They also don't go through a management agency so you wouldn't encounter that problem again where they are booked by the agent w/o even knowing it. They are very reasonably priced. Good luck!
