I love reading all your posts but have not really been posting myself yet!!! I am getting in full planning mode now and I know you are all the right people to ask for help.
I just got a quote of $11K for a Band for 5 hours. I was completly shocked.
Can anybody tell me what to expect to pay for a Band for 5 hours and if anyone has any recommendations please let me know.

i would say on average, most bands start around $7k....depending on how many pieces you want. honestly, i'm not shocked by the price you received, most bands i checked out were around that price point.

Check out Code Bleu! They start at around $6800 then you can add pieces for another $425 each.

Band prices vary, especially based on the number of pieces you are having.
We wanted 10 - 12 pieces, so our estimates ranged between $11,000 - 16,000. They always including ceremony and cocktail hour, so 6 hours total.

our band, The Zoo which includes 6 people for 4 hours is $5,500.00. i was shocked when i found out. this includes a DJ too. they also where at my friends wedding so we got to sample them first hand.
my cousins band was over $10,000, 3 years ago & we weren't impressed with them.

$11K That is so much money! We are using Soul Revival and they are way cheaper than that! FM me if you want the specific prices. They are awesome and FH and I can't wait to have them at our wedding
