We got a quote for $5600 for a keyboard player during cocktail hour and four hours of continuous music from a 9 piece band. Is this reasonable? What kinds of prices have you been seeing?
I don't think that's too bad, probably about average. We're having a string trio for ceremony, calypso band for CH, and an 8 piece band for reception and it's costing us $5500. The band is $4500 and the trio is $1000, so we're basically getting the CH music for free. We booked all 3 from the same place- Stolen Moments out of Dobbs Ferry (westchester).
Sounds very good. We are paying $6700 for Renegade. We get a piano player for cocktail hr and 4 hour reception!

That's a good price. We're paying in the mid-$6K range for our 8 piece band including 2 pieces for the ceremony and 2 for the cocktail hour.
