Band Question

Does anyone know if you can ask your band to learn to play a certain song if they don't know it???

some bands include that option in the contract... doesn't hurt to ask, just give them enough advanced notice...

I think most bands would be open to that if you gave them enough time

i know our band does.... they told us to give them a list of songs to learn..if we find one that is not on their EXTENSIVE list

we are meeting withour band 2 months before so they can learn stuff we want them to play, and go over songs we want to hear and not hear.

If you have something for your band to learn I would let them know as soon as possible - I found when I was looking at bands most would learn a song -some would learn a few - some charged to learn them some didn't.

My band learned two songs for me and had no problem doing so - but they did have a date you had to notify them by or they wouldn't do it - I think it was like 1 month before - which is fair since you want them to practice it and do a good and not rushed job.

Just give them a call I'm sure it would not be a problem

We are starting to go through the music for our band. They gave us a list of songs to start with and that we are to indicate as to play, favorite and never play. Anything that is not on the list that we want them to play we are to tell them and they will learn the song. We were told that for past brides they have learned up to 4 or 5 songs.

they will usually learn it for you. with our band they wanted our playlist 2-3 months in advance with the songs w didnt want and what we did so they could learn any if needed.
