I am trying to plan my budget. Anyone have a clue as to how much we will pay for a band on a Saturday night in December (Suffolk County)? We are hoping to get a good deal because it's the 'off' season.

Bands I have been checking out have been about 5-7,000. They worked with us on the day of the week (Sun) and the fact that we booked less than 6 months away from the wedding... some worked with us more than others.. but in general were willing to give us 500- 1,000 dollar discount... I would assume that it is similar for getting married in december.. also remember dec is a big month for holiday parties so they may not be willing to negotiate quite as much as the typical off season (jan-march)... at least that is what catering halls had told us.

I am not to sure Bands have Off Peak prices really they might give a little discount but nothing that steep. Plus like the above poster said December is a lot of Holiday Parties.
