Band Suggestions

Anyone using a band rather than a DJ? Who's good? I'm looking into Marc Topaz because they played at a friend's wedding and they were fantastic but I don't know who else to look into. TIA!!

we are having a band!!! it was actually the easiest vendor to book. we saw them at a friends wedding & we where sold. we are using The Zoo. they are based out of the OmniPop Talent Group.

the talent group also has a bunch of other bands if you are interested. heres a link to the website. they will give pricing info over the phone. call & speak with Barbara she is the best!!!

We're using a band from Starlight Orchestras. We met with a ton of bands, but Starlight ultimately blew us away.

So now how does it work with a band? Do they tell you what they can play or do you tell them what you want them to play and they learn it? That's my major concern is that a band won't be able to play everything that a DJ can.

I am using one of Hank Lane's bands.

Bands can play anything and everything! If there are specific songs that you really want and are unsure if they can play, if you tell them ahead of time they will learn it if they do not already know it. If you select a band that has been around for a while, chances are you are not the first bride wanting them to play a certain song. Definately go meet with a few bands and see what you think. If you decide it isn't what you want, you can always book a DJ. It doesn't hurt to go look

We are using CODE BLEU w/ Skyline Orchestras. They are awesome! I've also seen Vision w/ Franklin Wayne at my friends wedding and they were great too!

We are using Rhapsody from skyline orchestras...all the skyline bands are wonderful!

also...faze 4 is awesome!

thats the best part about The Zoo (the band i mentioned above), they have a set a songs they can play, & they also come with a dj. so you get the best of everything. IMO

That could be good! I'm so nervous to pick someone good (if we go this way) because the music is the party so I want to make sure we make the right choice. This wasn't even in though until FMIL suggested it so I should thank her for my added stress lol

Arcadia!!!!!!!!!!! That's who I'm using.

The have a sister band called Renegade as well. I've seen both at weddings, they're amazing!

Are you getting married in the Manor Room? We're having a hard time picturing where the band would go in that room. I emailed my BM and she said that bands are in there all the time I'm just afraid it's going to be cramped.

I think right when you walk in, they're to your left. I think there's enough room
