BAND vs dj

BAND vs dj

Hello all,
I want a Band and my FH wants a DJ. Either one of us is willing to budge on this at this point. He claims he likes a vast amount of music, no band could play everything he wants to hear so he says/thinks.
I already was able to talk him into the more expensive wedding hall. Not sure how to handle this...any advice?

Why not go see both Band and DJ showcases and see what you like best. one of you might change your mind!

My friend had a pretty good band, but they totally botched up her wedding song. Every time she looks at her video it upsets her. Personally, I think a band is very classy, but I have so much more fun at weddings with DJs.

We're having a band. If you get a good band, they can play a variety of music and the really good ones can learn songs for you.

We're using Code Bleu....you should definitely check them out at a showcase and see what you think.

maybe get a dj and then the live musicians to go along with so you guys can have both

were going with a Band. Originally FH and I were set that we wanted a DJ, but then went to a showcase and fell in love with the band!

I def. Second going to see a Band! We decided we would love the feel of live music, and it didnt take any convincing after we saw them live!

I would check out a showcase for a Band and DJ and then decide what you like more. We also struggled between DJ and Band and while I know that the really good Bands can play a variety of music, we decided that a DJ with some live elements was best for us.

I like both for different reasons but the large price tag that a band demands made that not possible for me to have soooo.....i got a dj and i added a percussionist so its kind of like a little live mixed in with a dj. I really like the sound and it is kind of getting both but with a price tag that I can afford.

fh and i were set on having a band, but then we realized hoe expensive they were and if you dont go with a great one (that can do a variety of music), whats the point?! were most likely going with a DJ and going to add some live elements (we feel its kinda the best of both). HTH, good luck!

I Totally Agree... I love some bands, but 3 out of 7 weddings I went to, the bands really impacted the wedding in a negative way and my friends were crying or highly upset. FH and I compromised. We opted for a DJ and will have live muscians as well.
