We are looking for a small band (4-5 pieces) that is more on the sophisticated side not a loud rock band. I am finding that many of the larger bands cannot provide only 4-5 pieces....
Can anyone help point me in the right direction? Thank you.

Checkout skyline orchestras... I think one of their bands is 5 or 6 pieces... They have 4 really good bands..

The Times Square Orchestra was willing to do 5 or so pieces for us. But for a great price, we got their whole 8-piece band and loved them. Check them out.

Current Affair charged us $500 per piece and said we could have as many or as few as we wanted.

Thanks susans...I actually already contacted them and they told me they had a 9-piece minimum. My room is way too small for that many pieces, that is why we are trying to stay on the smaller side. But thank you for the suggestion.

Give Rhapsody a call...I had the same concern..Our reception place was not a big reception hall and we also did not want to pay $7,000 or more for a band. We had Rahpsody, 7 pieces, at our wedding and everyone thought they were so great, the dance floor was packed all night, we actually were considering hiring them for an extra hour! Check out Alive N Kickin. They have been together forever and they have actually had one or two number one hits (granted back in the 70's) but thier main band is 5 pieces.

We used the Paul Errico band. They are one of the bands that James Faith represents. He is located in Port Jefferson.
They were really good. They also did our ceremony music, cocktail hour music and reception music.
We had a lot of compliments from our guests at the wedding.
