Does anyone know of a good reasonably priced band?

Re: Bands
I feel like I could write a book....We finally booked with Ken James Orchestra. Ceremony, cocktail hour and 8 pieces for $5600.
Most of the bands we looked at were in the same price range give or take. Some of the bands we also really liked were NightFlight and Code Blue.
FM me if you have questions. I found this to be the hardest part of the planning. Happy to help.

Re: Bands
Thank you. My friend told me she used them and loved them. She did not remember the price (it was years ago). I wouldn't need ceremony.

Re: Bands
I used Ken James Orchestra for my wedding and couldn't have been happier. We had Bruce Saunders as our bandleader. They are so pleasant to work with, professional, and very talented. They learned our 1st dance and father/daughter songs and did a great job. Everyone loved the band and kept complimenting how great they were - it really kept the party going all night.
We have two friends getting married this year that are using them as well.
I highly recommend them!

Re: Bands
I am not sure. We went to a ton of showcases for other bands, but went with them based on a video we saw and recommendations.

Re: Bands
I have been to a wedding and a showcase of Faze 4 and the Original Faze. They were excellent. They quoted me $8500 for a Friday night in Oct 2003.

Re: Bands
I am using Renegade by LI Paramount. We are paying $6200 for the reception only. Cocktail hour is extra. They were great and do showcases at least once a month. I saw about 9 bands before we booked and I started looking in March of '04 because bands seem to book up quick. When I was looking peopel were booking for '06. I also liked Code Blue & all the Skyline Orchestra Bands and they were reasonably priced ($4800-$5500). I left the band decision up to my FI though so that is why we ended up going with Renegade. I heard though that all the LI Paramount bands are good but book up fast.

I am using Times Square Orchestra! They are great, and reasonably priced. We are paying $6000 for ceremony, CH and 8 pieces for reception. We booked them in July '04 for our Oct '05 wedding. At the time we booked, they already had a handful of dates in Oct '05 booked!

Re: Bands
I went to a wedding two weeks at Chateau Briand. They had Sweetwaters. They played really good and they had everyone on the dance floor. The singers were great and they also had the saxophone player during the CH which wa a great touch. If I was to book a band, I'd book them in a heartbeat..with no doubts.

Re: Bands
I am using Milestone Music. Their fee is $5,500 for Reception and a keyboardist during cocktail hour. They have 4 singers (two male and two female) and 5 instrumentalists. Because there are a lot of band members they truly have continuous music. They were incredible at the showcase.

Do they have showcases?
No, they don't showcase. You can go to their office and they show you DVD from weddings they've done.
