depends on your price range...

here are some great bands: Timepiece - Franklin Wayne Full House - also Franklin Wayne http://www.franklinwaynemusic.com/ Current Affair - www.currentaffairmusic.com Illusions - call Al 516-354-2281 We're booking Current Affair. Timepiece wasn't available for our date so I never saw them but I've heard amazing things about them. I've also heard great things about Renegade, Arcadia and Faze4, but they were $6000 and up.

We booked Timepiece. They are 4750 for a Saturday night. We also saw several other bands but since you are in New Rochelle I will warn you away again a band we drove up there to see: Frank Terris Band. Awful! There are lots of great bands in this area...try to book early if you have a popular day.

anniem...

We saw them all live except Timepiece - since they weren't available we didn't go to see them. Current Affair was the best of the bunch we did see. We also saw Main Event (Frank. Wayne) and Top Shelf (Skyline) but weren't as impressed. Faze4 has a number of bands under management. A friend of mine just booked one for $6500? - Scott Yahney Band.

Bands

We booked our band (The Times Square Orchestra) for $4,000 for a Saturday afternoon in May (1 p.m. - 6 p.m.): this includes the cocktail hour (keyboardist playing classical music, our preference). They have a website, www.timessquaremusic.com, and if you email Joe Tucci or call him, he is very helpful and pleasant to work with and if you tell him your budget, he'll work with you. We got all 8-pieces for that price, so we were very happy.

Re: Bock and Blu

FANTASTIC. They were our second choice. They are great!! We got one of their demo CD's and they invited us to come to places they were playing at (they don't do showcases though). I spoke with Rick Traegar, and he was super nice and accomodating. Their 2002 charge right now is $625 per player, with a minimum of 8 players for a Saturday night. They are a 9-piece total band. I think their minimum for Saturday afternoon was 7 pieces. Since their main leaders (Gary Blu and Barbara Bock) are based in CT, they do charge a very small (and fair) amount for their travel. They have a song list that spans 15 pages. I think their webiste is www.bockandblu.com We really felt they were fantastic, and I recommend them highly after hearing and seeing them. We did not go with them though because we were able to save a few hundred bucks by going with a local band that was just as awesome. I'd check them out!!
