I'm thinking of calling the band, Milestone. After doing a search on them I saw that they changed members and also recently changed their name. Has anyone used or seen them recently? They sound great on the soundbytes on their website, but I'm not sure if this is the old band or the new band. Thanks alot.

I'm not sure who is in Milestone right now....there is someone on this sight using them soon. I booked the band Phoenix a year ago, and then a few months later, the 2 singers (male and female) joined with 2 other male and female and created Milestone....the 2 original singers honored their contract with me as Phoenix b/c i didn't want to pay more for a bigger band since I was happy with the original....anyway, after maybe 6 months or so as Milestone, the 2 men left or were kicked out or whatever....and then eventually the other woman left as well and Milestone was left with Dotty...and I'm not sure who else...Needless to say, Phoenix is back to its original band members...and I am so happy...I love them..they have been wonderful to work with. I'm not sure who has joined with Milestone, but my guess is that the sound bytes are old....however, Dotty is a fantastic singer...so if she is still there I wouldn't worry...but I would see if someone who has booked 'Milestone' knows more....sorry to babble.

I would like to check out Milestone as well. I listened to their soundbytes and liked them. I think the soundbytes are fairly recent because it was last updated in July. They have a showcase coming up on Sept. 10 at the Milleridge Carriage House in Jericho.

I booked Milestone about a year ago. I will not get into why the band changed members on this board but if you need specifics just send me a forum mail. I wills ay that the sound bytes are not old since Dotty was recording new ones not long ago. The new singers are better than ever (no offense to anyone who liked the old ones). I have seen them twice since the changes and am super happy. Dotty is amazing to listen to and work with. She has gone above and beyond for me. If you listen to 'Grow Old With Me' on her site that is my first dance song. She recorded it for me so that Scott and I could take first dance lessons and learn the dance exactly. Not many bands would do that. I suggest you call Dotty and discuss your plans with her. Then you can decide for yourself.
