Has anyone heard about this? We were originally booking one band and realized they use sequencers that play the music in the background and the band plays and sings over it. No wonder they sounded so good!! Is this common?

Unfortunatly, I think it is. We went to a few showcases (even though we already knew who we wanted to use) just to make sure our instinct was right. FH pointed it out, b/c the music just sounded too full...I would have never known. You're right, no wonder them sounded so good I think alot of people can't tell b/c they like me, just don't realize it. ETA: Our band, for the record, doesn't use them They are Soul Revival and they are a vendor on here.

Yeah, that's technology for you. It's just tracks. Not everyone realizes that some bands do this. It depends what you like, but to me it's not really 'live'.

THanks! I don't want to mention the name of the band that we were originally booking (they are a LIW vendor) becuase we did like them but didn't want to pay all of that $ for sequenced music. We felt that we could have a DJ with singers
