It's so funny you ask this becuase I'm the same way. I actually did get them right around this time last year because I remember it was just before Thanksgiving. And I liked them but it was too much maintenance so I just grew them right out. And now I want them again for that softer sideswept effect for my 'day-of' hair. So, I'm torn as well.

If you cut long bangs then you still have time to grow them out long enough to hold them back by your wedding, if you don't like them.

I want a side sweep but I have a calic (sp?) and a widows peak so not sure how that will turn out

There is hope for you!!! I have a widows peak and a HORRENDOUS cowlick (no idea how to spell it). But, for two years I had side sweep bangs. The cowlick was off to the right side so the bangs sweeped over the right side to press down on the cowlick and cover it up. It worked perfectly. I loved my hair and only grew them out b/c, after two years of the same haircut, it was time for a change. Here is a pic of how I had it....

REALLY think hard before you do it. I think you want them now b/c of the wig you wore for Halloween - LOL. Do you know your day of hairstyle? If it works w/ bangs go for it!!

LOL - believe me - I do NOT have thick hair!!!!!!!!!! My sister on the other hand, who is the girl on the right, has a frickin horse's mane!! My hair isn't super thin either - it's right in the middle but maybe one day it will be real thin b/c I shed like a bastardddd in the shower!

If you are looking in that picture the cowlick would be on the LEFT - but for me, it's on MY right, - lol hope that makes sense. It's all the way to the side where the hair is sweeped over. So, basically all the bangs that are being swept over are laying on top of the cowlick - AND she cut the bangs far back enough where the hair BEHIND my cowlick is also laying on top. So the cowlick was weighed down, although if you put your hand on my hair you could still feel that little jerk trying to pop up!

I have the same problem!! I have the side bangs but the idiot hairdresser layered them kinda. They do help the cowlick if you put all the bangs over it

I can even recommend my hairdresser if you want. I had another one before her who could NOT figure it out. But, the girl I go to know is the one who gave me that haircut, and I will never leave her now because she was the only one who made my haircut work! She is in Commack, let me know if that is not too far for you.

ditto ... i just grew my side bangs out and now i want to cut them again. im going to wait until after the wedding for the 'newlywed chop' and then ill cut them again. i just think that bangs limit you for the wedding

i cut mine about a month or two ago I go through this phase around the fall and of course now I want them to grow out so I can sweep them to the side

if your hair grows fast cut them but not to short that way you can angle them off the the side (swept bang look) you may not want them to short because if you pin them up for your wedding day it may be hard

I have bangs too. But its only because i have a big forehead. LOL. I always grow them out and then i cut them again. I can never make up my mind. LOL
