This is the first I am mentioning anything. Last night FH and I put in an offer for a house in VA. They counter offered but only went down $900 (plus closing costs). But come on! $900??! It's a bank owned foreclosure but... don't they have a heart? We have until tomorrow to decide what we want to do...
to be continued...

can you counter their counter offer? We didnt buy a foreclosed house, but we countered like 6 times back and forth before we agreed on a price.

Yes, we can counter offer their offer. 6 times? Wow! Well, we want to make another offer but we aren't sure how much higher we should go this time around.
When you made your first offer, how much did they go down for their first counter offer? I think $900 is a joke.

Good luck.... I do know that when a foreclosed home is listed it is pretty much at price the bank needs to get out whole. So that is why they probably countered with only 900 cheaper.

just to let you know, it's all public record. as long as you have an address it's fairly easy to find.
