What bank did you decide to use for financing the mortgage? We found that when we sat down with a rep. from Washington Mutual, it didn't end up being as much of a train wreck as I though it would be. I feel like there is something I'm missing.

i used a mortgage broker through my realtor. they specialize on mortgages in my town. however, i did go on lending tree and received some rate quotes. when i saw their best offer was what my broker was offering me, i felt confident in using them.
my advice? once you apply for the mortgage, dont look back. people will tell you 'oh, i can get it cheaper at so and so bank'
just lock your rate and keep it to yourself to avoid feeling guilty!
