BofA are the biggest bunch of crooked, F@#$-ing, F%*#=ers in the industry today. I can't believe that out of all the banks and financial institutions that have gone down for corruption, etc, that they still live to r@pe and pillage the public every day...

(yes, I hate them.)

BoA has to be taken down. My co-worker took on one of those BoA 'special deals' for loans..a 30 year loan offer she got w/ credit card statement, and it was for 3.5% or something..The flyer said the interest rate would be fixed for the full 30 year term because it was considered a personal loan, not a credit card account...

So, she transferred ALL her cc debt onto that loan and was making payments for 2 years when suddenly she gets a letter from BoA accelerating her principal and claiming its not a 'Line of Credit' which meant her interest rate jumped from 3.5% to something horrendous like 12.75%..

Absoulte sc*umb*ags.

FH and I were in Nova Scotia. He went to pay the bill for the B&B we were staying in. His card was declined. Without letting him know, they lowered his credit limit to about $10 above what his current balance was.

He called to tell them we were in a different country with no way to pay to get home....they didn't care.

Dont take it personally, my comment is meant more for BoA's managers and CEO who are very careless in conducting their investigations on foreclosed properties and their very pushy practices of increasing customer's fees wherever possible. I read an article from a BoA employee in MA who quit in disgust because each time she called a customer about credit card offers, she was forced to plug their Line of Credit and advise the customer that they were pre-qualified (even when they weren't). To me,that screams shady business practices.
